ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Last updated: March 21, 2026 – Owner: IFG eCommerce® by Francesco Guiducci
ART. 1 – SUBJECT AND PURPOSE
This statement defines the commitment of IFG eCommerce® to make the website www.ifgecommerce.com accessible to the widest possible number of users, regardless of physical, sensory or cognitive abilities. The goal is to ensure the maximum usability of digital content, constantly optimizing usability and compatibility with assistive technologies (screen readers, magnification software, alternative pointing systems).
ART. 2 – REGULATORY FRAMEWORK AND TECHNICAL STANDARDS
The Owner refers to EU Directive 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act) concerning the accessibility requirements for products and services. On a voluntary and proactive basis, the development of the Site follows the principles of perceptibility, operability, comprehensibility, and robustness defined by WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) at AA level and by standard EN 301 549.
ART. 3 – EXEMPTION REGIME (MICROENTERPRISE)
Under EU legislation, IFG eCommerce® qualifies as a microenterprise (an enterprise which employs fewer than 10 persons and whose annual turnover or annual balance sheet total does not exceed EUR 2 million). By virtue of this status, the organization is exempt from more burdensome compliance and reporting obligations if these constitute a "disproportionate burden". Despite this, the Owner adopts an approach based on industry best practices to progressively reduce digital barriers.
ART. 4 – CONFORMITY STATUS
As of today, the Site is partially compliant with the technical requirements of WCAG 2.1 level AA. Continuous optimization cycles are underway, focused on:
- Semantic HTML: Improvement of heading hierarchy (H1-H6) and ARIA tags.
- Keyboard Navigation: Optimization of focus order and visibility of the selection indicator.
- Multimedia Content: Systematic review of alternative texts (Alt-text) for images that are not purely decorative.
- Color Contrast: Verification of contrast ratios between text and background in compliance with minimum readability requirements.
ART. 5 – EVALUATION METHODOLOGY AND MEASURES ADOPTED
Evaluation is performed through periodic technical audits that include:
- Automated Analysis: Use of scanning software compliant with international standards.
- Manual Tests: Direct checks on the main user paths (Homepage, Services, Checkout, Contacts) by navigating exclusively via keyboard and screen reader.
- Theme 2.0 Optimization: Direct interventions on the source code to ensure that Shopify functionalities remain accessible even in case of platform updates.
ART. 6 – KNOWN LIMITATIONS AND DISPROPORTIONATE BURDEN
In some sections of the Site or in legacy content, temporary limitations may be encountered regarding:
- Video content lacking complete subtitling or audio description.
- Historical PDF documents not yet fully optimized for automatic reading. Should immediate adaptation entail a clearly disproportionate burden for the company structure, the Owner undertakes to provide alternative solutions upon request.
ART. 7 – FEEDBACK AND REPORTING MECHANISM
Users who encounter digital architectural barriers or difficulties in using specific content are invited to report the malfunction.
- Official Email: info@ifgecommerce.com
- Required Data: Please indicate the URL of the affected page, the device used (Desktop/Mobile), and the assistive technology employed.
ART. 8 – REPORT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE
Reports are classified according to the severity of the impediment and processed within the necessary technical terms. If content is found to be inaccessible, the User has the right to request that the Owner provide the same information in an alternative accessible format (e.g., text summary, phone call, or simplified document).
ART. 9 – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (ACCESSIBILITY FAQ)
- Is compliance mandatory for micro-enterprises? No, there are derogations from formal obligations, but accessibility remains a pillar of digital service quality for IFG eCommerce®.
- Is the use of accessibility widgets sufficient? No. Such tools are considered palliatives. True accessibility is achieved by intervening on the code structure and content creation.
- What technologies are tested? Screen readers (NVDA/VoiceOver), magnification tools, and keyboard-only navigation.
ART. 10 – LEGAL NOTICES
This statement is drafted for informational and commercial transparency purposes. The Owner constantly monitors the evolution of the European regulatory framework and reserves the right to update this document in accordance with new technical standards issued by the W3C or competent authorities.
