Welcome to the central hub of IFG Returns & Cancellations, the native Shopify application I designed to help structured merchants comply with the EU e-cancellation Directive, without sacrificing site performance.
This page contains the architectural specifications, compliance protocols, and technical documentation of the software. I built it with a precise philosophy: to ensure the maximum legal transparency of your store without introducing the frontend latency that traditional apps bring with them, preserving every millisecond of your store's speed.
The password to open the store is: IFGECOMMERCE
I designed this app specifically for structured Shopify merchants, SMEs, and e-commerce brands selling within the European market. It is the ideal solution if you demand complete control over your store and want to comply with EU regulations, but categorically refuse to compromise on speed by adding code to your theme.
The EU Withdrawal Directive mandates a guided form that is accessible without requiring customer login. Traditional Shopify apps load heavy external JavaScript scripts that drastically slow down your store's loading speed and Core Web Vitals (INP). With IFG Returns & Withdrawals, I have rewritten the entire logic in native code to help you stay compliant without any impact on performance, offering for the first time a smooth and invisible solution for server performance.

If you've already looked for solutions on the Shopify App Store, you'll have noticed the great paradox of traditional return apps: they solve a legal problem but create two business problems. On the one hand, they impose aggressive monthly fees that scale based on the number of returns (penalizing your growth), and on the other hand, they weigh down your e-commerce by installing external JavaScript scripts that slow down loading and destroy the user experience on the store.
I created IFG Resi & Recessi to break this pattern. Unlike competitors who often force your customers to register or log in to initiate a return, effectively violating the maximum accessibility requirement imposed by the EU Directive, my solution offers an anonymous, immediate, and secure flow in just two steps. Where other applications create barriers and slowdowns, my solution offers a streamlined infrastructure, a truly free plan, and full compliance with your store's Core Web Vitals.
No. IFG Returns & Refunds does not load external JavaScript: the app is built with Shopify Theme App Extensions, rendered in native Liquid directly from your theme. This means zero impact on Core Web Vitals, including INP.
European consumer rights regulations stipulate that exercising the right of withdrawal cannot require account creation or customer login. My solution guides the customer through two steps, transparently and anonymously, by only entering their email address and order ID — helping your store reduce the risk of disputes related to form non-compliance. For a specific assessment of your situation, we still recommend consulting with a legal advisor.
Updates to the Shopify platform have no impact: Theme App Extensions are a native standard maintained by Shopify itself. If you change themes, you will need to reactivate the block from the Theme Editor (Add block → App embeds) on the new theme—this is a matter of seconds, not a broken app.
Yes. The form is available in 30 languages with native RTL layouts for Arabic and Hebrew, and all text is editable directly from the app panel — no code access required.
Yes. The backend runs on Google Cloud Run, a serverless infrastructure that automatically scales based on incoming traffic, designed to handle sudden peaks without manual intervention.
