Shopify and AI Search: making information readable and verifiable

This page describes my technical approach to making a Shopify store easier for search engines and generative systems to interpret. It is not a certification and does not imply that ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or Google must cite or recommend a website.

I’m Francesco Guiducci, a freelance Shopify expert and Shopify app developer. In GEO/SEO work I focus primarily on observable, correctable elements.

What I check

  • Entity consistency: name, person, business, services, contacts and external profiles should describe the same real entity.
  • Structured data: markup should describe content actually present and should not conflict across pages.
  • Technical accessibility: HTML, indexing, canonicals, hreflang and rendering should allow public information to be retrieved correctly.
  • Verifiable content: I remove unsourced statistics, ranking guarantees and statements created only to influence crawlers.
  • Catalog and documentation: products, collections, pages and technical information should be current and consistent.

What this means for a Shopify project

The work can involve the theme, catalog data, translations, metadata, structured data and, when dedicated logic is needed, integrations or Shopify apps. The goal is to reduce ambiguity and technical issues; final visibility remains a decision made by the search engines and systems using these signals.
