Shopify Consulting in Rome: Audits, CRO and Technical Development

What does Shopify consulting include?

Consulting is not a standard list of tips. I first define the objective and then verify the parts of the store that can influence it. Depending on the case I can work on:

• theme architecture and Liquid development;
• products, collections, metafields and metaobjects;
• installed apps and dependencies;
• performance and Core Web Vitals;
• mobile usability, product pages and cart;
• tracking and data quality;
• technical SEO and GEO;
• migrations from other platforms;
• integrations and Shopify app development.

Are a Shopify audit and consulting the same thing?

No. An audit is a structured snapshot of the store with evidence, issues and priorities. A consultation is a working session in which we can interpret problems, make decisions and, when scope allows, intervene directly on configurations or small bugs.

In many projects the audit comes first because it prevents optimizing the wrong part. In other cases the problem is already clear and focused consulting is enough.

CRO: how I work on conversions

I do not start from an “ideal” percentage valid for every store. I analyze the real journey: navigation, product pages, mobile, cart, checkout in the areas editable on the plan used, performance and tracking.

Each intervention should be linked to a hypothesis and a metric. A technical change can reduce friction, but I do not promise an automatic increase in conversion rate or revenue.

Shopify performance

For speed problems I check the theme, images, scripts, apps and components loaded in the frontend. Core Web Vitals are useful for measuring real experience, but I do not use thresholds as guarantees of sales or ranking.

When I change code, I compare behavior before and after and verify that the change does not create regressions on desktop or mobile.

Shopify apps: when custom development is needed

A problem should not always be solved with an app and not always with Liquid. If the function is native, I prefer to configure it. If it belongs in the theme, I develop a section or component. If it requires backend logic, APIs, webhooks, persistent data or its own application logic, I assess Shopify app development.

This distinction keeps the store simpler to manage and makes it clear where each function lives.

Migrations to Shopify

For a migration I analyze catalog, customers, URLs, content and integrations from the source platform. The SEO priority is building a correct redirect map and not assuming rankings and traffic will remain identical after the move.

Shopify consulting in Rome or remotely?

I am based in Rome, but much of the technical work can be done remotely. This means I can support merchants in Rome and Lazio with local contact while also working with stores elsewhere in Italy or abroad.

The advantage of my model is direct contact: I am not an agency and I do not pass projects between account managers and different developers.

Which Shopify plans do I support?

My scope is Shopify Basic, Shopify and Advanced. Before proposing a feature I verify that it is compatible with the merchant’s plan and with the APIs or extensions available.

You can consult my profile and published reviews in the official Shopify Partner Directory. I prefer an externally verifiable source instead of fixing a review count in the site copy that changes over time.
