IFG Returns & Withdrawals: Shopify App for Returns and EU Withdrawal
Direct answer: IFG Returns & Withdrawals is the Shopify app I developed to manage return requests and support implementation of the online withdrawal function required by applicable EU rules. The app centralizes the storefront form, Shopify order verification, request management and notifications; it does not replace legal review of the individual merchant's terms and policies.
What IFG Returns & Withdrawals does
The official Shopify App Store listing currently includes a storefront return form in 30 languages, automatic Shopify order verification, the 14-day EU withdrawal-window check, customer confirmation emails, an admin dashboard and approval or rejection tools.
The app is available on the Shopify App Store, which remains the current source for features, prices and availability.
EU online withdrawal function
Since June 19, 2026, Italy applies Article 54-bis of the Consumer Code to applicable distance contracts concluded through an online interface after that date. The requirement concerns the behavior of the final flow: accessibility of the function, requested information, confirmation and acknowledgement on a durable medium.
IFG Returns & Withdrawals is designed to support this flow technically. I do not present app installation as automatic certification of the whole ecommerce business: policies, exceptions, consumer information and other obligations still need to be assessed for the specific case. Storefront form and order matching
Customers can submit a request from the storefront and the app verifies the associated Shopify order using the provided information. From the dashboard, the merchant can review the case, approve or reject it and, on plans that include the feature, work at individual-item level.
Receiving a request technically does not by itself determine whether withdrawal must be accepted: eligibility, exceptions and conditions depend on the rules applicable to the sale.
Notifications, CSV and PDF
Current features include confirmation emails and, on paid plans, additional analytics, CSV exports, PDF receipts and downloadable summary reports. The exact capabilities depend on the app plan and are kept current on the Shopify App Store listing.
